High performance AND recreational competition will occur simultaneously throughout the day
Recreational youth (born 2015 or later) compete in the morning
High performance youth & cadet black belt (kyorugi and poomsae) begins in the morning
Recreational cadet & older (born 2014 and earlier) compete in the afternoon

Tournament Eligibility
Competitor eligibility
• Out of province competitors must be registered members of their provincial/state and national associations
• Alberta competitors aged 5+ must be registered Alberta Taekwondo Association members
Coach eligibility
• Out of province coaches must be qualified according to their provincial/state association
• Alberta high performance black belt kyorugi coaches must be NCCP DC certified
• Alberta recreational coaches (all belt levels) must hold ATA provincial coach certification (registration available soon)
• Coaches must register and will receive updates/briefings via text message or by checking the website — no in-person coach briefing

Equipment & inspection
• No eyeglasses permitted during sparring
• Mouthguards must be clear or white
• Braces must be covered by mouthguards (preferably custom-made)
• Finger/toenails must be short and smooth
• Competitors provide: groin guards, arm/leg guards, gloves, KPNP Gen 2 electronic socks (Captain Sports)
• Uniform: approved WT-style white dobok and appropriate belt
High Performance
